Accessibility

Everyone should be able to use this site.

Elevation Health is committed to making our website usable for people of all abilities. If something here gets in your way, we want to know — and we’ll fix it.

Our commitment

We build and maintain this site with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Those guidelines are the widely accepted standard for making web content usable by people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box to check. As we add pages and features, we test them — and when we fall short, we correct it.

What we’ve done

Specific measures currently in place across this site:

  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — menus, buttons, accordions, forms, and the chat assistant — can be reached and operated without a mouse.
  • Visible focus. A high-contrast outline follows keyboard focus so you always know where you are on the page.
  • Skip link. A “Skip to content” link appears as the first item on every page, letting screen-reader and keyboard users bypass the navigation.
  • Semantic structure. Pages use real headings in a logical order, landmark regions, and lists, so assistive technology can convey the shape of the page.
  • Descriptive alt text. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they don’t add noise.
  • Color contrast. Text and interface colors are chosen to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Reduced motion. Animations, scroll reveals, and the loading spinner are disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Labeled forms. Every input has a real label, errors are announced in text rather than by color alone, and status messages are read aloud by screen readers.
  • Responsive and zoomable. Layouts reflow down to small screens and support browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
  • Video without autoplay audio. Background video is muted, decorative, and hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

We’d rather tell you plainly than claim perfection. A few areas are still being improved:

  • Third-party content. Some parts of the experience — our scheduling calendar, intake forms, and online shop — are provided by outside vendors. We can influence but not directly control their accessibility. If you hit a barrier in one of those, contact us and we’ll help you complete the task another way, by phone or email.
  • Older blog content. A small number of earlier articles may contain images with incomplete alt text. We’re working through the archive.
  • Downloadable documents. Some PDFs may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We can provide an accessible version of any document on request.

Standards and technology

Target standard

WCAG 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Compatibility

Tested with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, using VoiceOver and NVDA.

Assessment method

Self-evaluation by our development team, combining automated checks with manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.

Technologies relied on

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Core content and navigation remain available if scripts fail to load.

An important note about care

Accessibility barriers should never stand between you and getting help. Everything available on this website can also be handled by a real person — questions about the program, pricing, the assessment, scheduling a consult, or placing an order.

Call or text us at 983-209-1760, or email info@elevationhealth.co, and we will walk you through any step over the phone.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter something on this site that you can’t access or use, please reach out. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened — along with the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you know it. That detail helps us reproduce and fix the problem quickly.

We aim to respond to accessibility reports within three business days.

Formal complaints

If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter. In the United States, complaints regarding website accessibility can be filed with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. We would much rather resolve it directly with you first, and we take every report seriously.
