Frequently asked

Real answers
to the most-asked questions.

Everything we get asked on almost every free call — GLP-1s, peptides, cost, side effects, and support. Search, filter by category, or jump to what you need.

These answers are general education, not medical advice. Questions about your dose, your symptoms, or how a GLP-1 interacts with your conditions and medications go to your prescribing physician — that consult is included in the 90-Day GLP-1 Transformation. If something feels urgent, contact your physician or emergency services right away.

01

Getting Started

Our clinical team makes that call after reviewing your goals and health history. A licensed physician looks at your intake, your current medications, and your health background before anything is prescribed.

The fastest way to find out is to take the GLP-1 quiz or book a free 15-minute call with a registered dietitian. Both are free, and neither commits you to anything.

Our program is built for people with a range of weight loss goals. Our clinical team will determine if you are a candidate based on your goals and health history. We have clients with weight loss goals that range from 10 lbs to 50+ lbs.

No. There’s no requirement to have tried other methods before starting with us. What matters is whether the therapy is medically appropriate for your situation, and that’s what the clinical intake determines.

Many of our clients come to us as their first structured attempt. Others have tried everything and want a supported clinical approach. Both are welcome.

GLP-1s — tirzepatide, semaglutide, and retatrutide — are a specific class of medication used mainly for weight loss and metabolic health. "Peptides" is a much broader term covering compounds used for other goals: recovery, longevity, skin, hormone support, and sleep.

Technically GLP-1s are peptides too, but they’re specialized enough to warrant their own category. Browse the peptide categories to see what else we carry.

Take the GLP-1 quiz or book a free 15-minute guidance call. From there, we will guide you through next steps for placing your order, meeting with the physician, purchasing the plan and starting your protocol. The first step takes just a few minutes.

02

GLP-1 Medications

Semaglutide works on one receptor (GLP-1). Tirzepatide works on two (GIP and GLP-1). Both quiet appetite and food noise. Our core program uses tirzepatide, though your physician helps determine the best fit for you.

It’s prepared by U.S. 503A and 503B pharmacies that follow strict federal standards, and Elevation Health is LegitScript certified. Every prescription carries physician oversight, and certificates of analysis are available. As with any medication, your physician reviews your history first to confirm it’s appropriate for you.

Compounded medications are not separately FDA-approved products. They’re prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual prescription after a clinical evaluation. We’d also say plainly: never buy compounded medication from an unregulated online vendor, because nothing about it can be verified.

For GLP-1 medications, yes. You’ll meet with a licensed physician who reviews your health history, and if you’re a qualified candidate, writes a prescription and sends it to our pharmacy. Prescriptions are good for 1 year.

It is noted in our peptide shop which peptides require a doctor consultation and prescription. Many of our peptides do not require a prescription and can be easily ordered online.

Yes. Send us a copy of your prescription. We will review and send to our pharmacy to fill. A doctor consult through us is not required if you have a valid prescription.

Email info@elevationhealth.co and the team will walk you through it.

Appetite can return when you stop, and some weight regain is common if nothing else changes. That’s exactly why we build habits alongside the medication. Our plan is designed so the results hold better after you taper, because you’ve changed how you eat and move — not just what the vial does.

03

Peptide Therapy

Our catalog spans six categories: weight loss, exercise & recovery, longevity & anti-aging, skin & glow, hormone support, and cognition & sleep. We also carry at-home lab panels.

Everything comes from licensed U.S. 503A and 503B pharmacies with certificates of analysis available. See the peptides page for the full list, or take the wellness protocol assessment to get matched to your goals.

Many of our peptides are designed to complement a GLP-1, which is why clients often build a stack. Complete the wellness protocol assessment on the peptides page and we’ll guide you to a personalized combination.

Whether a specific pairing is right for you personally is a question for the physician, who reviews your full history before anything is prescribed.

04

Cost & Insurance

The 90-Day GLP-1 Transformation includes one vial of compounded tirzepatide (30 mg, an 8-12 week supply depending on your dose), your personalized GLP-1 360 nutrition and lifestyle plan, including a 12-week meal plan with shopping lists and exercise guidance, and resources & in-app messaging. Physician consult is included. Does not include medication shipping fee.

Not inside the program. The physician consult fee is included in the $899 90-Day GLP-1 Transformation. On its own, a physician consult is $75.

The consult is required annually, and a prescription is good for 12 months.

No. There’s no membership, no startup fee, and no long-term contract. You pay for the program once, and you’re never locked in. Nothing auto-renews and nothing ships unless you order it.

We operate as a concierge practice and do not bill insurance directly. We can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Many clients use their HSA/FSA card at checkout.

If the physician determines GLP-1 therapy isn’t appropriate for you, our team will tell you honestly and, where we can, point you toward a better option — often peptide therapy or nutrition support.

Refunds and cancellations depend on where your order is in the process. Email info@elevationhealth.co and the team will walk you through it based on your specific situation.

05

Side Effects & Safety

Side effects are usually a product of lifestyle and nutrition choices while taking a GLP-1 or improper dosing, not the medication itself. People can experience nausea, headache, fatigue, constipation or diarrhea if they do not follow the recommended guidelines for using a GLP-1. We help our clients minimize or avoid these side effects through our personalized plan to help you thrive on a GLP-1, not suffer through it.

Our goal is that you target fat loss and preserve your muscle. Rapid weight loss can cause both fat and muscle loss. The difference in working with us is that we guide you in proper dosing and give you a personalized plan so you can protect muscle and lose fat efficiently. We help you lose the weight you want to lose and preserve the muscle that will help you keep the weight off long-term.

Your prescribing physician. Dosing decisions — including missed doses, increases, and changes — are medical decisions and belong with the physician who wrote your prescription. We don’t give dosing guidance here or by message, because the right answer depends on your history and where you are in your protocol.

If you’re a current client, message the care team in the app and they’ll route you. If anything feels severe or urgent, contact your prescribing physician right away, or call 911 in an emergency.

Safety depends on the peptide, the dose, the source, and your individual health. All of our peptides come from licensed U.S. 503A and 503B pharmacies, certificates of analysis are available, and anything requiring a prescription is reviewed by a physician first.

Whether a specific peptide is appropriate for you is a physician question, not one we can answer on a web page. As with GLP-1s, never source peptides from unregulated online vendors.

06

Ongoing Support

Our clinicians will support you in deciding the right path for you based on your goals and health history. If you enroll in the 90-Day GLP-1 Transformation, we build you a plan personalized to your body, goals, and lifestyle, so you’re set up to thrive on a GLP-1 — not just get through it. It includes an individualized nutrition and symptom-management plan, plus education and guidance for the most common side effects.

Support is thoughtful and message-based — not unlimited or real-time. Anything urgent or medically concerning should go to your prescribing physician or emergency services right away.

Discreetly, straight to your door, in temperature-appropriate packaging. Nothing on the outside shows what’s inside. Most patients receive their medication within 7-14 days of booking their first appointment.

Completing your intake forms promptly and meeting with the provider as soon as possible helps keep everything moving. Shipping is billed separately from the program price and shown at checkout. We ship within the United States only.

It’s your call, and nothing happens automatically. You can re-order your medication, continue at a maintenance dose, or move to nutrition-only support. Your prescription is good for 12 months, so refills are there if you want them.

If you don’t, nothing auto-charges and nothing ships. That’s the whole model.

Yes. Elevation Health is a nationwide telehealth program serving patients across the United States. Everything happens from home — your intake, your medication delivery, and your plan. Availability in your specific state is confirmed during intake.
